Bringbabka is built by people who have been through this process. We know you are sharing personal information about yourself and your pet because you trust us to help. We take that seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it. We have written it to be readable.

Information collected automatically

We collect standard technical information including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this to keep the service running and understand how the product is used. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect your microchip number unless you choose to enter it.
  • We do not read your notepad.
  • We do not track you across other websites.
  • We do not collect information about your finances, family, or anything unrelated to moving your pet.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the service: calculate your timeline, send transactional emails, store your documents, and improve the product. We do not send marketing emails without consent, sell data to third parties, or share your pet’s details with government agencies, airlines, or quarantine facilities.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Your uploaded documents are stored in a private bucket accessible only when you are logged in. No system is completely secure - if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at hello@bringbabka.com immediately.

6. Your Rights (All Users)

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any right, email hello@bringbabka.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Additional Rights for Australian Users

Bringbabka complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). As an Australian user you have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with the APPs. We will always try to resolve any concern directly first - please contact us at hello@bringbabka.com.

8. Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it
  • The right to delete your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

We do not sell, share, or rent California residents’ personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

9. Additional Rights for EU/EEA Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your data. Our lawful basis for processing your data is:

  • Contract performance: processing your pet’s details and calculating your timeline is necessary to deliver the service you have paid for.
  • Legitimate interests: we use technical data to keep the service running and secure.

Under GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability of your data
  • The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the lawful basis)
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

To exercise any GDPR right, email hello@bringbabka.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Data transfers: your data is stored on Supabase servers which may be located outside the EU. Supabase maintains Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for international data transfers in compliance with GDPR. See supabase.com/privacy for details.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how the product is used and improve the experience. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any cookies that follow you outside of bringbabka.com.

11. Children

Bringbabka is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at hello@bringbabka.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
